Adult Sunday School Classes for Winter 2026

The Afterlife

Drs. Matt and Sharon Quick - Library

The class will be a combination of teaching and discussion about end-of-life and after-life issues (Sharon covering primarily the former and Matt the latter). A potpourri of topics will be covered from spiritual, scientific, and practical perspectives, including the complexities of defining death, whether “brain death” is really death, information about various end-of-life documents—when and if they are useful, the importance of palliative care and hospice, recognizing and countering cultural attitudes that diminish meaning for those at the end of life, a scientific approach to the afterlife, near death experiences, heaven, purgatory, and hell.

Lessons from the Upper Room

Wyatt Schill - Dahl Center

Knowing the time was fast approaching for Him to depart this world, Jesus spent His final hours with His closest friends. As the disciples sat with their master, unaware of what would soon take place, Jesus served them, taught them, and prayed for them. In this teaching series Dr. Sinclair Ferguson paints a vivid picture of the disciples' final moments with their Savior. Carefully walking through John 13-17, Dr. Ferguson reminds us of the centrality of Christ in all of life.
